Chicago-born poet and emcee Michael (Mic) Crenshaw fell in love with music at a young age while living in Minneapolis. Mic has released numerous albums with projects including Suckapunch, Hungry Mob and Cleveland Steamers. Mic Crenshaw has collaborated with Dead Prez on multiple recordings and released 3 albums as a solo artist. In addition to his highly-acclaimed work in spoken word and hip hop, Mic founded GlobalFam, partnered with Education Without Borders (EWOB), and is the Lead Organizer for the Afrikan Hiphop Caravan in the US.
